Subnational climate action – teaming up to power down #JourneyToParis

This event will showcase how cities, states and regions can and are decarbonising their grids whilst improving energy efficiency.

This event will take place on 9 December 2015 from 13:30-14:00 at the Comité21 Pavilion, Climate Generation Area (Green Zone) in Le Bourget.

At the heart of powerful climate strategies lies the dual core of effective energy efficiency policies and growth in renewable energy.

Panel discussion on the role of renewables and energy efficiency in driving emissions reductions. We will be discuss the actions being taken in your city, state or region, and how collaboration among subnational governments can drive further reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

The event will be televised live on the UNFCCC’s website, as well as in the Le Bourget conference centre. The discussion will be open and conversational, and the TV event will last for 30 minutes.
