Climate-KIC CEO addresses innovation conference in the Hague
Climate-KIC CEO Bertrand van Ee is one of the key-note speakers at a national innovation conference in the Hague today (6 November 2014).
Van Ee will address the Dutch “Innovatie Conferentie” in his capacity as chairman of the Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation.
During his speech, Van Ee will also highlight his work as Chief Executive Officer at Climate-KIC and his mission to bring down CO2 levels and to create new jobs in the clean-tech sector.
The conference aims to promote innovative entrepreneurship in the Netherlands and is attended by high-level representatives from industry and government, including King Willem-Alexander.
The Climate-KIC delegation at the conference also includes Climate-KIC’s entrepreneurship director, Hero Prins, and the director for Climate-KIC in the Netherlands, Chris Mooiweer.
During this conference, Dutch economic affairs minister Henk Kamp will announce the ‘Nationale Iconen’ (National Icons) of the Netherlands. The national icons are innovative Dutch projects with global impact.
The icons will help tackle societal challenges and are likely to bring future welfare growth. Dutch TV talk show ‘De Wereld Draait Door’ will feature the icons in a broadcast later today.
The innovation conference is jointly organised by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation (AcTI).
