The event will take place at the Grand Palais in central Paris, Conference room 3, from 11:00 – 12:50.

Climate-KIC’s global Climathon initiative has united 20 global cities, 55 partners and over 930 participants across 6 continents, with the overall aim of driving and accelerating city-level solutions to mitigate or adapt cities to climate change across the globe.

Global cities include London, Washington and Beijing who began the Climathon journey with a 24-hour hackathon-style climate change event, simultaneously run across participating global cities in June, with the aim of generating city-level solutions to climate challenges in their cities.

The best solution teams in each city were then coached through the next 5 months to test the feasibility of their solutions, with the best global solution winners judged by Climate-KIC at the end of the process in October, and invited to showcase their solution in Paris.

The showcasing event will centre on our 12 winning Climathon cities showcasing their city solutions to an audience of high-profile industry leaders within the climate, start-up finance and business sector who will give feedback on the presentations.

Prior to the event, winners will be invited to Paris for special boot camp training weekend to help them prepare their pitches and network with other future climate innovators and business experts.
