CarbonOrO technology is patented. It is based upon the temperature sensitive behavior (known as LCST) of a special range of chemicals. CarbonOrO technology significantly reduces heat requirements and opens up the potential use of residual heat to further reduce operational costs.
Carbon capture is used for biogas upgrading and for large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects at power plants or energy intensive production facilities. Biogas is an already huge market and steadily growing. CCS will grow into a multi-billion dollar market at the end of this decade. The International Energy Agency expects CCS to become as important as the renewable energy sector in mitigating the effects of global warming.
