Distrito Castellana Norte (DCN) leads the urban development “Madrid Nuevo Norte” (MNN), a 311 hectares brownfield regeneration project with more than 2.6 million of square meters of profitable building area in Madrid, Spain. DCN develops sustainable, participative and citizen-centric urbanism. The company is 75.5% owned by Grupo BBVA, 14.5% Merlin Properties and 10% by Constructora San José. MNN is a public initiative which will be developed by the owners of the buildability rights through private investment. There are about 1.000 buildability rights owners in MNN, but DCN owns more than 50% of MNN buildability rights.
