Climate-KIC aims to position itself together with its partner community in the area of forest based bio and circular economy. This cross-theme activity combining views, key strategies and innovation areas of both our Sustainable Land Use (SLU) and Sustainable Production Systems (SPS) themes will kick start at a workshop at Aalto University in Helsinki 21-22 March 2017. The aim will be to understand the potential for the area and of our partners.
Day 1: 21 March
Nordic and a few European Climate-KIC partners, selected for their proximity to the relevant industries or their understanding of the particular business challenges that forest based bio and circular economy face will gather to discuss the key issues.
Day 2: 22 March
External stakeholders will join the dialogue, including Nordic industry representatives, policy stakeholders and selected European industry stakeholders.
Outcomes from the workshop will be used to create content for a side event at the World Circular Economy Forum on 5-6 June 2017 in Helsinki. The aim of this side event is to present and discuss potential solutions and pathways to accelerate the transition to a Circular Bio Economy with a focus on forest based innovations.
