A key climate-knowledge cluster
Germany’s capital is a hot spot for climate innovation and entrepreneurship and a key climate-knowledge cluster (policy-science-economics-technology-markets) with a multitude of local clean-tech businesses and organisations, the Technische Universität Berlin campus, ICT-Labs KIC, Albert-Einstein Campus, the Solarvalley cluster, a network of existing incubators and greenhouses, and close proximity to a wide variety of actors in the national climate-policy community. Key themes of the Climate-KIC German Centre therefore include: sustainable city systems, e-mobility, modelling, policy/technology roadmapping, solar energy, water, zero-carbon production.
Climate-KIC Germany is located centrally in Berlin. We manage and implement all Climate-KIC activities at the local or regional level and offer business-centre and dialogue activities for our community, including high-tech-videoconference facilities within our office on the EUREF-Campus in Berlin-Schöneberg.
The German Centre also hosts the climate-related incubator named Green Garage.
