Ruben AlblasMember of the Governing Board
Mr. Ruben Alblas is Program Manager for KLM and has been with the airline in various roles since 1997. He holds a degree in Logistics and Economy from Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
Valentin AlfayaMember of the Governing Board
Valentín Alfaya Director of Prevention, Quality and Environment at Grupo Ferrovial and Chairman of the Spanish Group for Green Growth He has a PhD in Biological Sciences from UCM and a Diploma in Engineering and Environmental Management from EOI.
Paul AlthuisMember of the Governing Board
Paul Althuis is Director of Delft Enterprises, the one-stop shop for entrepreneurship and spin out companies of the Delft University of Technology.
Giovanni AnceschiMember of the Governing Board
Giovanni Anceschi, energy engineer, is president of ART-ER and COO of Energy Way, a Modena-based company that deals with data science and data management that in 2016 participated in the Climate-KIC Accelerator Program in Italy and today is one of the most successful companies futuristic operating in the development of innovative mathematical models at the service of business efficiency and sustainability.
Catia BastioliMember of the Governing Board
Catia Bastioli is a chemist, researcher and entrepreneur. She is CEO of Novamont and Matrìca, President of Terna Spa of the Kyoto Club Association and of the Italian Technological Cluster of Green Chemistry SPRING, and member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Cariplo.
Nicolas GruberMember of the Governing Board
Dr. Gruber has written over 170 peer-reviewed publications, with more than 20 having appeared in Science, Nature, and the offsprings of Nature. In 2000 he joined the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles, first as an assistant professor, and from 2005 until 2007 as a tenured associate professor. In 2006, he was appointed as a full professor at ETH Zurich.
Renat HeubergerMember of the Governing Board
Renat Heuberger is the CEO and co-founder of South Pole, a global company specialising in sustainability solutions. He has been engaged as a social entrepreneur in the fields of sustainability, climate change and renewable energies since 1999.
Jonas KamlehMember of the Governing Board
Jonas Kamleh is Deputy Head of the Urban Development and Climate Environmental Department at the City of Malmö (Sweden). Previously he was Senior Advisor at the United Nations Development Programme.
Daniel KlingenfeldMember of the Governing Board
Dr. Daniel Klingenfeld is an expert on energy and climate policy issues. As Head of the Director’s Staff at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, he is in charge of the scientific and organizational support of the Director and manages the dialogue with politics, business, and society at large. Dr. Klingenfeld completed his doctoral studies at PIK and holds degrees from the Kennedy School at Harvard and ESCP Europe.
Alice PeyrardMember of the Governing Board
As Director of climate change commitment at Veolia, Alice is engaging with investors on climate strategy. She has a background of director of operations in facility management and waste water treatment. Promoting MRV she is a member of the CITEPA’s board. Graduated in 2000 from Ecole Centrale Paris, she obtained an Auditor certification, certified by IRCA and approved by IMEA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment).
Martin SiegertMember of the Governing Board
Martin Siegert is Professor of Geosciences and co-Director of the Grantham Institute, Imperial College London. He was formerly Head of the School of GeoSciences and Assistant Principal for Energy and Climate Change at the University of Edinburgh, and director of the Bristol Glaciology Centre at the University of Bristol. At Edinburgh he led the creation of the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI).
Marianne ThellersenMember of the Governing Board
Marianne Thellersen Marianne is M.Sc. in biotechnology from DTU and has an e-MBA from CBS-SIMI. She first joined Novo Nordisk and later Novozymes where she held a range of positions related to research and innovation. Marianne was program director at CBS-Simi for two years before becoming Senior Vice President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2012.
Anders WijkmanChair of the Governing Board
Anders is Chairman of the Swedish Association of Recycling Industries and Chairman of the Governing Board of EIT Climate-KIC. Anders has served as a Member of the European Parliament and the Swedish Parliament, as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Policy Director of UNDP. Anders is honorary doctor at Linköping University (2011).

Barna BarathMember of of the Supervisory Board
Barna Baráth spent the last four years as a strategist, board member and parent of Green School Bali, a unique community of changemakers, educating for a sustainable world. Prior to this he was CEO for 12 years of one of Europe’s top climate change finance firms, Vertis Environmental Finance, winning numerous awards for innovation and client service. Barna graduated in Economics from the University of California and studied corporate finance at London Business School.
Yvo de BoerMember of of the Supervisory Board
Yvo de Boer is President of GoldStandard and Partner at SRI Executive. De Boer is the former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a position he held from 2006 until 2010. After his UN tenure, de Boer was Global Chairman of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at KPMG. From 2014 to 2016 de Boer was Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
Thomas GoergenMember of of the Supervisory Board
Thomas Goergen is Director of Innovation Networks at Covestro Deutschland AG. He is a former director at Bayer Technology Services and graduated in chemistry at RWTH Aachen University.
Timo NurminiemiMember of of the Supervisory Board
Mr. Timo Nurminiemi is a finance professional and private investor. He is also CEO of Argon Pro Ltd and CFO of Nolla Antimicrobial Ltd. Previously Timo was CFO of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. During his professional life he has held finance positions in private sector in large international corporations, start-ups, SME’s and the public sector. Through these positions, Timo has gained experience in the areas of R&D, construction, ICT, chemicals and energy.
Monika Weber-FahrChair of the Supervisory Board
Monika Weber-Fahr is Executive Secretary and CEO at Global Water Partnership. Previously, Monika was Chief Operating Officer at Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All). She has worked for several years in the public and private sector, setting up and leading within the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and working with the World Bank Institute (WBI) where she built and led the Global Development Learning Network and Multimedia Division.
