Cleantech Teams From 30 Countries Meet in Estonia For Competition Final

    • Europe’s largest cleantech business ideas competition, ClimateLaunchpad, is organised by Climate-KIC to unlock Europe’s cleantech potential and to accelerate innovations that address climate change
    • Teams from 30 European countries pitch their cleantech business ideas on 7 and 8 October to a jury in Tallinn, Estonia
    • A total of 87 teams will compete for funding and the chance to enter into the Climate-KIC startup Accelerator

Tallinn, Estonia – All across Europe, a new generation of entrepreneurs is working hard to create new economic opportunities through climate change adaptation and mitigation solutions. A total of 87 teams from 30 European countries are set to take the stage at the finals of the 2016 ClimateLaunchpad competition in October to pitch their green business ideas.

Hundreds of teams from all across Europe submitted their cleantech business plans to ClimateLaunchpad this year. The teams then attended intense 2-day boot camps to prepare them for the National Finals where each country selected most promising groups to send to Tallinn for the European Finals.

On 7 and 8 of October the teams will pitch their ideas to a renowned international jury and will be judged on feasibility, scalability, job creation, climate impact and quality of their pitch. The jury will select the ten best teams to join the prestigious Climate-KIC Accelerator. The top three teams will win cash prizes.

The Climate-KIC Accelerator is the only EU startup acceleration programme focused on cleantech commercialisation. With fast-track entrepreneurship education, top-notch tools, techniques, intensive coaching and provide funding. It is the world’s first real-life business school for cleantech entrepreneurs.
