The Management Team consists of members representing different functions at EIT Climate-KIC. It carries out the statutory duties, coordinates strategy execution and manages overall operations for the people, partners and stakeholders who we are in service of.
Dr Kirsten DunlopChief Executive Officer
Dr Kirsten Dunlop joined EIT Climate-KIC in January 2017, from Suncorp Australia, where she was Executive General Manager Strategic Innovation.
At Suncorp Kirsten founded and led a bespoke division focused on managing and responding to strategic risk through innovation, transforming core business and industry models from within.
Prior to roles in Second Road, KPMG and Suncorp, Kirsten worked in the UK and Italy for 15 years.
Tom MitchellChief Strategy Officer
With 15 years’ experience of working on climate change policy and research, Dr. Tom Mitchell has a PhD in climate and disaster risk management and has published widely on climate resilience. Before joining EIT Climate-KIC, Tom led the climate change team at the Overseas Development Institute, supported UN policy on disaster risk reduction and served as a coordinating lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

She has worked across areas of strategic innovation and strategic risk management, business process outsourcing, project and change management with extraordinary energy and dedication in a situation where creativity and innovation are encouraged.
Regine KreitzDirector of Marketing and Communications
Regine Kreitz moved to EIT Climate-KIC from the Hertie School in Berlin, an international public policy school, where she led communications and marketing from 2010 to 2020. She is also president of BdKom, the largest association of communications professionals in Germany.
Cliona HowieHead of Circular Economy
Cliona Howie is the Head of Circular Economy development and transition for EIT Climate-KIC. She has held roles such as championing sustainable business in SMEs as the Chairman for the Environment Sector Group for the European Commission’s Enterprise Europe Network for several years, as well as sitting on the Circular Economy Expert Finance Group and the EU Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform. Anna WhiteGeneral Counsel
Anna is responsible for legal, procurement and risk at EIT Climate-KIC. Her strategic leadership and expertise spans the private and charitable landscape, ranging from corporate, commercial, technology, privacy, employment and disputes. Anna is a multi-jurisdictional specialist and quadruple qualified – Ireland (EU), England and Wales (UK), New York (USA) and New South Wales (Australia). She is published in the field of corporate governance and is an education board trustee.

Bjarke is a co-creator with several years of experience with turning climate action into tangible solutions. Bjarke has developed and managed public-private projects aimed at developing climate solutions for cities. Bjarke is responsible for the global Climathon programme.
Ben HonanFinancial Participation Product Builder
The interplay between financial markets and climate change has been a focus for Ben throughout his career. Ben has applied innovation techniques to the climate emergency while working in the insurance market, in financial services regulation, and now at EIT Climate-KIC in Amsterdam. Focussed on Sustainable Finance, Ben works on a portfolio of finance innovation projects designed to integrate climate risk & opportunity into global financial markets and drive a transformation to a sustainable net-zero emissions economy.
Savitri GroagStrategic Developer Benelux
Savitri Groag is an anthropologist that joined Climate-KIC in 2020, after ten years in global tech company Accenture as Head of Sustainability. She brings experience from private sector, technology as well as sustainable operations and partner collaborations. Within Climate-KIC she leads the innovations and partner engagement in the Benelux region.
