EIT Climate-KIC warmly invites you to the 1st European Carbon Farming Summit in Valencia, Spain, from 5 to 7 March 2024. The event aims to bring together experts and stakeholders to shape the deployment of robust carbon farming markets and policies.

Due to overwhelming demand, registrations for the summit in Valencia are now closed. Plenary sessions will be available online. Please register here for Day 1, and here for Day 2.

The European Carbon Farming Summit supports high-level conversations to shape carbon farming policies and practices in Europe. It represents a space for knowledge sharing and experiences, upscaling solutions and enabling the multiplication of climate actions across the EU.

The Summit is organised by EIT Climate-KIC in collaboration with SAE Innova, as part of the Horizon Europe-funded project CREDIBLE.

The three-day event will be a platform where methods and approaches to upscale and multiplication of carbon farming action across the EU will be discussed. Key insights from the summit will be shared with the Expert Group established by the European Commission on the European Carbon Removals Certification Framework to help shape the future of carbon farming.

The summit is open to all stakeholders across Europe interested in the development of “credible” carbon farming practices, with the aim of building the trust and momentum necessary to a shared vision and goal of upscaling carbon farming. The summit is therefore a space for all interested parties to meet, discuss, align and agree on best mechanisms to upscale carbon farming.
