Register now for Climathon in Germany: The Global Climate Action Hackathon

DATE
27 Oct 2017

What can cities do to mitigate and adapt to climate change? How can innovative ideas be developed for cities to address the climate challenge? At the global climate action hackathon –  Climathon – everyone is invited to engage locally and be part of the solution. Whether you are in Berlin, Frankfurt, Essen or Karlsruhe: Climathon offers everyone the opportunity to come together to be part of a dynamic climate innovation community in more than 200 cities on six continents for one day!

On 27 October 2017 (10 am local time), entrepreneurs, students and political decision-makers will join forces for 24 hours to find new solutions to local challenges related to climate change. They’ll work together on topics such as efficient waste management, smart energy concepts or sustainable food production.

24 hours of climate action – offline and online

Use the hashtag #Climathon to follow the progress via Twitter and Facebook – which reached over 16 million people last year and attracted attention to cutting edge climate innovations. We are supported by local partners including club e of the Berliner Energie Agentur, BSR,  Berlin Partner and Veolia.

Do you already have an idea or the desire to work on solutions in an inspiring team for 24 hours? Register now, right here: climathon.climate-kic.org.

The deadline for registrations is 15 October 2017.
