changeNOW session on Re-Imagining Cities: Navigating Today, Preparing for Tomorrow

Climate KIC will be present at changeNOW 2025 in Paris where global leaders and changemakers come together to shape a sustainable world.

By 2050, two out of every three people are projected to live in urban areas. This presents a significant challenge, as cities currently generate 75% of global CO2 emissions and are ill-equipped to handle the escalating impacts of climate change. However, cities are also uniquely positioned to lead the fight against this crisis. As centers of innovation and collaboration, they can serve as living laboratories and exemplars of climate action, demonstrating how to create a sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.
This session will map out the path to a new urban reality, showcasing bold and imaginative solutions to redesign our cities for the benefit of people and the planet.
