Climate-KIC COP21 UN side event moderated by Yvo de Boer #JourneyToParis

This event will present diverse perspectives on cross-sector collaboration, as well as public-private partnerships that aim at delivering scalable climate solutions and enable the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The event will take place at the UN Pavilion, Parc des Expositions du Bourget, from 16:45 – 18:15 on 4 December. Blue Zone Access is required.

The event is titled “Catalysing commitments into action: innovation and scalable solutions in cross-sector collaboration.”

Diverse perspectives of innovative cross-sector collaboration and public-private partnerships delivering scalable solutions to the challenges of climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Sustainable green growth is delivered through the synergies of climate-sensitive financial markets, innovation and efficient policy action accelerating those.

We will present concrete examples of innovative climate ambition and action spanning across geographies and sectors, actions building on knowledge sharing and collaboration and a shared vision of the desired impact.

The event is part of the Business and Industry (BINGO) #BizCOP21 Day at COP 21.

The Business and Industry (BINGO) Day aims to showcase private sector leadership and action, provide constructive policy input from business, demonstrate the private sector’s commitment to an ambitious agreement, and share expertise and best practices in technology cooperation, development and deployment, REDD+, climate finance and research and development. The Day’s agenda includes panel sessions on: climate ambition in Indian industry; innovative solutions for stronger resilience; efficient, productive, and smart cities and grids; and innovation and scalable solutions in cross-sector collaboration. BINGO Day is organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
