Nordic Cities Workshop

This workshop will bring together representatives from industry, academia and public bodies to collaborate together to innovate against the threat of climate change.

Programme

The CITIES (Centre for IT-Intelligent Energy Systems in cities) community and other Nordic Cities will provide inspiration with a series of presentations on ‘Toolbox for Smart Cities’. 

Climate-KIC will lead an action-oriented workshop with the objective of:

  • Clarifying climate challenges relevant to Nordic cities
  • Creating candidate project ideas to address these challenges
  • Matching project ideas with funding opportunities
  • Identifying potential consortia who will, together with Climate-KIC, progress the project proposals

Session 1 on Tuesday 1 September 2015 starts at 10.30, to allow  attendees to travel to Copenhagen that morning.

Session 2 on Wednesday 2 September 2015 starts at 8:30 and ends at at 16:00.

Cost

The workshop is free of charge and includes dinner on the evening of 1 September 2015. 

Accommodation

Copenhagen is very busy at this toime of year and it is a good idea to book your accommodation as soon as possible.

We can recommend the Guldsmeden hotels which are Green Globe certified. 

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at Hotel 71 Nyhavn – please use the reference Nordic Cities if you want to take advantage of this offer.

To register a place at the workshop please email Irina Nystén  before 20 August. Both sessions will be limited to 40 attendees.
