About the Masterclass

The purpose of this Masterclass is to help entrepreneurs selected by EIT Climate-KIC to obtain the investment, resources and customers essential to the success of their climate-conscious value propositions by providing them with the tools to develop and deliver compelling pitches with confidence and integrity to critical audiences. This two-day Masterclass is led by Linda Plano, Founder and Principal of Plano & Simple

Who should attend?

The Pitch Masterclass is a premium program designed to help any entrepreneur selected by EIT Climate-KIC to dramatically improve their ability to pitch with confidence and clarity in just two days.

Objectives

After the two-day session, participants will be able to gain pitch training, tools and experience in the following areas:

  • A simple framework for developing a complete pitch for their value proposition
  • A practical process for tuning the pitch for the interests of each audience
  • Experience in pitching and coaching both themselves and their colleagues
  • Confidence in delivering a pitch that tells their story in their way so that it is compelling to the audience of their choice
  • Tips and tools for managing the pitching process

The Masterclass will be a fast-paced and engaging workshop that alternates among training, pitching and coaching.  Participants should expect to be working on a large variety of topics related to their own business.  Participants can expect to leave this masterclass with a whole new battery of tools which they can immediately implement.

Led by Linda Plano

Linda Plano, PhD, has been coaching entrepreneurs on their pitches and value propositions since 2005. She founded Plano & Simple in 2010 to focus exclusively on coaching, training and mentoring. Linda has worked with nearly 600 entrepreneurs, who founded start-ups in life sciences, cleantech, high tech, and web-based applications. They have gone on to raise well over $250 million. Linda is based in Boston but provides services to international clients via both online and in-person services for individuals and organisations. Prior to 2005, Linda held positions in start-up companies including research scientist and CEO, as well as management positions up to Vice President for New Business Development in more established companies. She earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Physics from MIT.
