This congress will bring together prominent leaders, experts and professionals in the climate change and environment sector from around the world to address the challenges and opportunities linked to climate change in the Andalusian region, as well as in the broader European and global context. The event takes place in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities.
The role of regions and cities in the fight against climate change will be highlighted, given that a large part of the competencies related to climate action and in such crucial sectors as waste management and the circular economy, mobility, water, renewable energies, and the protection of the environment and biodiversity, reside in the Autonomous Communities and Municipalities.
EIT Climate-KIC regional adaptation expert Celsa Monros will participate as Climate Ambassador at a roundtable on 25 October, 13:00 CET, to speak about our work on regional climate resilience in the context of the EU 2030 Missions.
