LOCATION
Zoom
DATE
2 November 2023 at 14:00 CET

This online event will showcase the potential of design research to accelerate green transitions through co-design, collaboration and practical experimentation. This event will give you a chance to hear from experienced researchers about design-led research and its approaches and impacts. For anyone considering doing a PhD, members of the new Marie Curie funded CoDesign4Transitions Doctoral Network will be on hand to share details of 13 new positions* with salaries for 3 years in six European countries which will be open for applications from January 2024.

*Eligibility criteria for these positions include mobility (not being resident for more than 12 of the previous 36 months where they will do the doctoral research) and candidates must not yet have a PhD.

Who we want to attend

We want to attract people working professionally in green transitions, government, business, policy or civil society from anywhere in the world who might consider doing a PhD. This event is not primarily for universities or existing doctoral students, although they are welcome to attend.

  • They are likely to be
  • professionals
  • with a Masters degree (and ideally >2 years work experience)
  • based in any country
  • working in role related to sustainability, net zero, design or technology
  • employed or freelance in a business, consultancy, start-up, local or central government, or civil society organisation or context

Do participants need to be currently involved in a PhD program to be able to apply?

Our network creates 13 NEW funded opportunities to do a PhD with a salary. We want to engage your network to find people who are considering a PhD in the future. Candidates for our network should NOT be already doing a PhD. Participants in this event can be anyone at all.
