We are turning the tide on fragmentation and joining forces among multiple organisations to build a future that is viable and worth having. We fund portfolios of initiatives to achieve more effective systemic change at the scale and pace urgently needed. We will be sharing live learning from our collective work where we are seeing: traction, the need to pivot and what comes next.

Changing who and what gets funded: Catalytic capital for climate

Climate KIC and The Table are convening an open-circle conversation exploring how philanthropic and investment capital can work together to address the funding gap facing early-stage climate ventures.

The session will examine how catalytic and flexible capital (including approaches such as recoverable grants) can help absorb early risk, give promising innovations room to develop, and unlock further investment. Particular attention will be given to how new financing models can broaden access to capital for underfunded solutions and founders, including climate ventures co-led by women.

Bringing together philanthropic funders, impact investors, asset owners, venture funders and other capital allocators, the discussion will surface practical examples, lessons and persistent gaps, while exploring opportunities for greater collaboration across the capital spectrum.

Participants will leave with new perspectives on how capital can be deployed differently to support a broader range of climate solutions and leaders.

Currents of Resilience: Investing for Gender and Climate together

Developing World Markets and Value for Women are convening The Currents of Resilience, bringing together investors and philanthropists to explore the intersection of climate resilience and gender.

The event will begin with an invite-only roundtable discussion on gender and climate resilience, moderated by Gates Foundation, Developing World Markets and Value for Women. Participants will exchange perspectives and explore how investment can better support solutions that advance both climate resilience and gender equality.

The conversation will be followed by a networking reception, creating space for a wider circle of investors and philanthropists to connect and continue the discussion during Climate Week NYC.

Philanthropy Shifting Systems

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is bringing together philanthropy leaders and practitioners to explore how funders can move from an ambition for systems change towards more transformational approaches in practice.

Building on RPA’s Shifting Systems Initiative, the event will explore how philanthropy can respond to increasingly complex and interconnected challenges by rethinking traditional funding approaches, shifting power, strengthening collaboration and supporting longer-term systemic impact.

Climate KIC CEO Dr Kirsten Dunlop will join the conversation, contributing perspectives on systems transformation and the role philanthropy can play in enabling and accelerating systemic climate action.

The gathering will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, connect with peers and explore how philanthropic capital can contribute to meaningful and lasting systems transformation.

Tapping the Urban Mine: Incentivizing & Scaling Critical Material Supply Chains

During Climate Week NYC 2026, the Circular Supply Chain Coalition is bringing together leaders from industry, technology, logistics, investment and policy to explore the growing potential of urban mining: recovering, reusing and remanufacturing critical materials already circulating within the economy.

The session will examine how better data, emerging technologies, smarter procurement, enabling policy and investment can strengthen critical material supply chains while accelerating industrial decarbonisation. Discussions will span the opportunities within the reverse supply chain, the role of AI and circular data, and the policy and investment conditions needed to scale urban mining.

Climate KIC CEO Dr Kirsten Dunlop will join speakers from across the climate and circular economy ecosystem to explore how innovation and collaboration can turn existing material resources into greater supply chain resilience and long-term economic value.
