Launch of the Re-Industrialise Flagship Programme

Industry is crucial to the prosperity of regions. However, industrial clusters are oftentimes very energy and resource intensive, with significant greenhouse gas emissions and a high dependence on resource availability. Shifting from carbon-intensive industries while ensuring a stable economy and secure jobs has become a more and more pressing issue within recent years. Transformation pathways need to aim at maximising economic, environmental and social opportunities while supporting innovative solutions at the interface of economic development and decarbonisation.
