Deep Dive 1

Funding in a Shifting Context

Date: 11 November 2025, 14:00–15:30 CET

Funding is shifting fast. Agencies are shutting down, budgets are tightening, political priorities are changing, philanthropy is taking new forms, and intermediaries are being asked to step into new roles.

This opening Deep Dive will frame the landscape we’re all operating in, exploring:

How funders are responding and reacting to this turbulence.
The new capabilities and relationships needed when “business as usual” breaks down.
What these radical shifts mean for tackling complex challenges in the world — and how innovators can learn to operate in, and even exploit, the cracks within funding systems.
