This structured, three-part online journey will guide you from understanding system-wide industry drivers, to exploring future business scenarios, to designing actionable innovation portfolios. By completing all three modules, you will develop a project idea grounded in tangible scenarios, insights from leading industry players, and proven case studies, future-proofing your organisation while creating lasting value for your stakeholders.

Programme and registration

Module 1: Identifying key drivers of systemic change

24 October 2025, 10:00-13:00 CET, online

Learn how different actors across the value chain experience key textile challenges, uncover the systemic drivers of change (regulatory, financial, technological, social) via key systemic change tools, and begin shaping compelling, collaborative project ideas that address these priorities.

Outcome: You will learn how to make a strong case for the change you want to drive by building a compelling story rooted in key system-change drivers and emerging trends. Develop the ability to clearly explain these drivers across the value chain in outcome-focused language that secures internal buy-in.

Module 2: Designing future sustainable scenarios

7 November 2025, 10:00-13:00 CET, online

Co-create opportunity-driven and risk-aware scenarios to guide the sustainable growth of the textile industry. Build structured visions of possible textile futures – from more AI-led to more human-led pathways. Scenarios are built by embedding sustainability into the organisation’s core strategy while identifying system-level shifts and new business opportunities within planetary boundaries.

Outcome: Clear scenarios, including skills and tools map (what expertise is needed, what exists, what’s missing) and gap analysis, built leveraging knowledge and real-life examples from key industry players.

Module 3: Activated desirable futures

21 November 2025, 10:00-13:00 CET, online

Shift from foresight to action. Translate desirable scenarios into innovation portfolios that balance incremental, adjacent and transformative initiatives. Design systemic interventions across product, process, business model, policy and culture.

Outcome: A portfolio of actionable innovations co-developed with industry leaders that shows how to turn a scenario into a viable cross-industry project and create tangible impact. Participants leave with practical tools for networking, engaging and securing collaboration.
