From start-up to 100-person industry player in 18 months: air up is launching in new markets
It’s a beverage revolution: Healthy hydration while fooling your brain. Climate KIC supported start-up air up is changing our perception of health beverages with its innovative, flavourful tap water that doesn’t use sugar or artificial sweeteners.
The concept is simple: Pure water combined with pods using natural scents extracted from fruits, plants and spices, which trigger receptors in our nose. It’s not science fiction, but already available, as over ten thousand online customer reviews confirm.
The start-up has grown from five founders taking part in the Climate KIC accelerator to a team of 100 in only 18 months. It has also raised over €20 million of capital. Supported by beverage giant Pepsi, the product is now hitting several new European markets, including Switzerland.
