The New European Bauhaus Festival, happening 9 to 12 June, brings together people from all walks of life to debate and shape our future. A future that is sustainable, inclusive and beautiful. It is a great opportunity to network, exchange and celebrate—from science to art, from design to politics, from architecture to technology.
EIT Climate-KIC and the EIT Community have been collaborating with the New European Bauhaus. The winners of the EIT Community Booster – Scaling Up New European Bauhaus Ventures were recently announced. As well as the winners of the New European Bauhaus Ideathon Awards.
This first edition of The Festival will consist of exhibitions, artistic performances, conferences, seminars and other gatherings combining a ‘live’ onsite event and a ‘virtual’ online component.
The Festival has three components: FORUM, FAIR and FEST.
FORUM
The FORUM is the space for bold ideas about our future. This inspiring high-level conference will span three days of innovative participatory formats, from round table discussions to TedX-style talks. Expect conversations between leading original thinkers from the worlds of policy, the arts, design, and industry on how the NEB can change Europe’s society and economy for the better. Tune in online or attend in person at the Gare Maritime.
FAIR
Come visit the FAIR! It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the diversity of activities under the NEB umbrella: local citizen labs, pioneering research, innovative prototypes and proposals on how to make our lives easier, more sustainable and more beautiful. A fixed exhibition will take place at the Gare Maritime, and a mobile one will travel through the city centre on e-bikes and electric tuk-tuks to the sound of a live DJ set.
FEST
The FEST on Mont des Arts is an invitation to delve into the universe of artists and creative thinkers from all over Europe. Get ready for four days of art installations, meetings with designers, interactive workshops, concerts, talks,
circus acts, dance and guided tours. This four-day celebration has something in store for everyone, including a programme of child-friendly activities on the weekend of 11 and 12 June.

- Actionable Futures COST Connect x New European Bauhaus
This COST Connect event will bring together a wide variety of stakeholders, ranging from COST Action researchers and innovators, to policymakers and well-known experts. The event offers a multidisciplinary platform to discuss challenges and opportunities ahead, contributing to the debates on European level. On the first day of the event (9 June), a selected group of key-note speakers, experts and policy- makers will introduce the topic.
