Circular headphone service
Gerrard Street aims to develop circular consumer products, starting by offering high-end headphones via a lease construction (€7,50/month) with regular updates and repair service.
They offer a durable framework (speakers + frame) that lasts over 10 years. The wear sensitive parts, such as the paddings, casing and cable, can be modularly attached to the framework. Customers can easily replace their worn/broken parts. The annual updates keep the product updated, both in terms of technology and style.
The modules are made of recyclable material, when a module is replaced it will be re-used to make new ones. Gerrard Street strives to expand their circular business to new product categories.
