Giaura has developed a way to convert CO2 from a waste stream into a resource. Using an advanced material originally developed for the spacesector,the team has developed a patent-pending process optimized to atmospheric CO2-capture.
Carbon dioxide is widely used to enhance biomass growth and facilitate industrial processes. Currently the CO2 is provided by external suppliers in cryogenic form or gas pipelines. An on-site source of CO2 that can be installed wherever the user is located while operating under the user’s control could increase the location flexibility as well as the reliability of the supply. Giaura will enable this by offering its on-site CO2 capture units to the Dutch and international markets. Giaura technology could also be used for the production of carbon-neutral biofuels.
