Faro 360

'Waste valorization'

Climate-KIC Start-Up

Founding Year: 2016

Location: Belgium

2 to 3 billion people lack access to basic waste services. They live primarily in lower-income cities in Africa and Asia and are expected to double their solid waste generation within 15 to 20 years. Uncollected waste and open dumping and burning has a serious impact on public health, the economy and the environment. With the solution of Faro 360 these problems can be solved.

Micro factories for a circular economy
Faro 360 builds micro factories for plastic recycling, using open source technology. In these micro factories, local primary waste collectors can valorize the plastic waste they collected, by turning it into a raw material and putting it back on the market. This leads to higher income, job creation, capacity building and a direct positive impact on the environment.
