Essento provides the Swiss mass market with a locally produced, delicious and sustainable source of animal protein in the form of insects.
In order to be able to use the full potential of insects, they are working with various partners to:
- support the legalisation of insects for human nutrition in Switzerland
- build up knowledge about insect breeding with local resources
- develop recipes with innovative chefs with this new ingredient
- change the cultural barriers towards insects by promoting them as delicacies
Essento thereby brings a much more resource- and environmental-friendly way to consume animal proteins to the market.
