Adaptricity develops innovative software products for the simulation, optimisation, and planning of electricity distribution grids.
The focus is on novel features of so-called SmartGrids, such as distributed and renewable energy sources, demand-side response systems, and distributed storage devices. Their first product, the simulation software DPG.sim (Distributed Prosumer and Grid Simulation), is targeted at Distribution System Operators (DSOs) as well as researchers and consultants in the power sector. DPG.sim differs significantly from existing software solutions on the market by representing new features of SmartGrids in a totally new way. For convenient use, the software of Adaptricity is server-based and provides a graphical front-end that runs in any web browser.
