ASTER

ASTER is the consortium among the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government, the six Universities, the National Research Centres located in the region – the National Research Council (CNR) and the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) – the Regional Union of Chambers of Commerce and the regional Entrepreneurial Associations.

 

It was established as a Consortium for industrial research, technology transfer and innovation, with the aim of promoting technological innovation in industry, creating link between researchers and enterprises and identifying the great frontiers of science which will influence future economy and on which business and research can work and invest together. Since 2005, ASTER activity has been dedicated to the development and coordination of the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network, which consists of industrial research laboratories and innovation and technology transfer centres organised in 6 Thematic Platforms. It is a core partner of the Climate-KIC; it was the coordinator of the RIC Emilia-Romagna until 2015. ASTER is also partner of the KIC Raw Material.
