Our public partners

In order to achieve the greatest benefit to societies and ensure societal acceptance of climate innovations Climate-KIC develops its regional activities in close collaboration with public partners. In particular climate challenges in urban environments such as adaptive water management, energy use, mobility and transport, infrastructure and housing are being developed and realised together with associations, federal offices, city councils and other public institutions.

In addition, national competence centres and research institutes play major roles in assessing and monitoring climate change and in developing adaptation and mitigation strategies. On the European level, Climate-KIC closely liaises with policy makers to assist in the development of promising climate-innovation pathways for Europe.
