A UK hub for local and European partners

Climate-KIC UK is located at the heart of the Imperial College London Campus in South Kensington in south west London.

It is adjacent to the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Energy Futures Lab. The UK centre shares facilities and resources with these and integrates its activities and administration on behalf of the UK community.

The excellent provisions of the centre have led to a vibrant and busy UK hub for local and European partners, resulting in connected, creative transformation of knowledge and ideas into economically viable products and services that help to mitigate climate change.

Climate-KIC UK supports frequent meetings for management, strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, education and business development as well as delivering education activities, innovation, entrepreneurship and dissemination events.

The UK centre acts as the coordinator for its partner activities. In February 2013 the UK had 15 partners. The current partners, as well as prospective ones, had led to a strong strand of innovation projects. The centre runs a Strategy Development and Delivery team that:

  • Develops UK strategy
  • Promotes  this strategy at the platform and pillar level
  • Supports the delivery of the parts of the strategy approved by the Climate-KIC Governing Board
