EIT Entrepreneurship Competition

The Climate-KIC Venture Competition will be continued by the EIT.

The EIT's 2011/2012 Entrepreneurship Competition highlights and encourages entrepreneurial ventures within the EIT's three thematic areas: climate change adaptation and mitigation, the future of information and communication society and sustainable energy. It is organised in collaboration with its three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs): Climate-KIC, EIT ICT Labs and KIC InnoEnergy.

Encouraging entrepreneurship is a key part of the EIT's mission - and so the first EIT Entrepreneurship Awards put the spotlight on the most promising ventures from each of the three KIC’s. The contest culminates in a conference and awards ceremony to be held on February 21, 2012 in Brussels, where a high-level jury will select one winner from each of the three KICs.

The nominees on behalf of Climate-KIC are: Ennesys (FR), Naked Energy (UK) and Sunuru (NL).

More information about the EIT Awards and Candidates can be found at the website.
